I just received the news yesterday from Bob Ostini of Ron's passing. It deeply saddend me and his spirit is with me today. My deeepest sympathies to Brenda. It was a wonderful love affair they had.
We (me and Augie) struck up a kinship with Ron and Brenda in the parking lot of Candlestick Park. We would sing and enjoy the friendship with Ron and Brenda and other friends. Ron was a honorary member of the Niner Knuckleheads as he was the only person out side the group that wrote a Knucklehead song. "At the 'Stick" was Ron's idea and he wrote the lyrics. for almost 20 years we would meet every year at the rookie of the year dinner of the S.F. Goal Rushers. Ron even performed with us.
It was the end of an era when we last saw Ron at the final game at Candlestick and now that era is truly gon with Ron's passing. We will miss you dearly brother.

It's amazing how we always assume that friends and family will always be there. I now must face the reality that I have lost a personal family friend for over fifty years and will not get over it any time soon. Ron got me my first Niner season tickets, and I introduced him to Lake County. He told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life at the lake, and he did. We'll miss you Ron.

As fairly new members of the Goldrushers we extend
our sympathy to Ron's family. We will miss him at our
meetings. He was a fun loving guy.

I've lost a great sports buddy. The Giants and the 49ers experience for me will never be the same. Ron, you definitely made life more interesting for all your friends. Here's to you old friend. Brenda, if there is ever anything I can help with let me know.

It is with deepest regret that I learned of Ron's passing. He brought joy to me. I will always love his sense of humor. The way he gave of himself to the 49ers goal rushers. I have fond memories of spending time with Ron at the Super Bowl in Miami... Playing "dumb stuff". Narrating at the meetings... Making people laugh. My heart goes out to Brenda. Ron will be sorely missed

I always liked to see Ron and Brenda come into the Brassfield Tasting Room... I knew I would get to see a unique wine oriented T-shirt and get some good natured conversation. I'll miss him.

We're sure going to miss Ron in more ways than one. Not only as an always smiling friend and fabulous party host, but also for all the hard work and his diligence and determination to make our neighborhoods better. We will also miss him standing at our garage door while Romie barked at him as he had never seen anybody with more facial hair than he has.... Brenda and Eddie, we will never forget him, and we are not forgetting you either. Friends for life! We are here for you.

March 20, 2014

We were luckly to be able to call Ron a friend, even if it was only for a short time.

We will miss seeing him come to the Keys Club on Friday nights with his shades on and a big smile.

We will also miss seeing him roaming the Keys streets making sure that all was right in the neighborhood.

We are so thankful for all that he did to make it a safer place to live.
