Rosamond A. "Rose" Johnson, 89, of Markle, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. She was born on July 25, 1923 in Bluffton to the late Virgil A. and Meryl (Wilson) DeArmond. She worked as an office administrator for United REMC. She loved crocheting, her fruit trees, gardening, and especially her flowers. Surviving family include her son, Mike (Connie) Johnson of Uniondale; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; and 3 brothers, Bob DeArmond of Florida, Dick and Charlie DeArmond, both of Bluffton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Richard W. Johnson; son, Thomas Johnson; and sister, Wanda Tarr. A funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 3-8 pm on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Berne.
