Rose Mae Benoit Arceneaux at the age of 77 born on October 19, 1934 peacefully departed this life surrounded by her loved ones in her home on January 29, 2012. Beloved wife of Raymond Arceneaux Sr. for 58 years. Mother of Linda Zar (Clark), Raymond Arceneaux, Jr., JoAnn Landry (Harold), and Cathy Orgeron (Robert). Daughter of the late Adelia and Pierre Paul Benoit. Siblings of Josephine Simon, Gloria Simon, Eddie Benoit, Sr., and Marie Toup (Boo). Known as Maw Maw Rose to 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was very close with Robin Taylor and Mariela Cornejo.
Native of Reserve, LA and a resident of Marrero for 53 years. Survived by a host of nieces and nephews, her greatest joy in life came from her family who adored her. A special thanks to Serenity Hospice Services especially Morva, Gaynell, and Sr. Anne.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego, on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM.
