Rose Santistevan Carrillo was born June 1, 1929 and passed away Aug. 12, 2011. Preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Francis DeHerrera Santistevan; siblings, Isabel and Fred Montoya, Eva and Ned Vigil, and Joe Santistevan. Survived by her loving husband, Gabriel Carrillo; daughter, Evelyn (Billy) Carillo; sons, Albert, Ralph, and Sam (Veronica) Carrillo; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Her brothers-in-law and sisters-in law are Kathern Sandoval, Goyo (Gloria) Carrillo, Stella Estrada, Julia (Joe) Finn, Fred (Annabelle) Carrillo, Elva (Mannie) Marin, Bettyann Martinez, and Josephine Santistevan. Rose was a member of Saint Leander Parish and enjoyed gardening. Above all else, her family came first. Visitation 2 – 7 pm Tuesday followed by Recitation of the Rosary, both at IMPERIAL funeral home Chapel. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Wed., St. Leander Parish, with interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
