Rosemary Nesmith Brock

January 1, 1920 - December 9, 2012
Rosemary Nesmith Brock, age 92 , passed away December 9th at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital from complications due to Alzheimer's.

A memorial service will be held at Salem Baptist Church in the Lebanon Community, south of Raymond, on Wednesday, December 12th , with visitation from 9:30 – 11:00 at the church and service following.

Rosemary was born in Claiborne County, MS, January 1, 1920. She grew up in Vicksburg, MS and graduated from Carr Central High School. She married T.C. (Tommy) Brock in 1937 and moved to the farming community of Lebanon in south Hinds County, where she resided for the next 68 years.

A model homemaker and mother of four children, she was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church and very active in community life.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, Rea and Ora Nesmith, sister Hattie Nesmith, brother Rea Nesmith, her husband, T.C. (Tommy) Brock, sons Thomas Mark and George Brock, and daughter, Linda Brock Moore. She is survived by daughter Dot Brock Bittick (Martin), daughter-in-law Charlene Brock, son-in-law Clark Moore, eight grandchildren , twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation (196 Charmant Place, Ridgeland, MS 39157) or Salem Baptist Church (2666 Learned Rd. Raymond, MS 39154)
