Roxana (Roxy) Arredondo, age 26, of Austin, Texas passed away Monday, November 12, 2012. She was born September 26, 1986 to Abelardo (Abe) and Cristina Arredondo in Austin, Texas.
Roxy graduated from Bowie High School on 2004. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington for a year before joining the workforce in Austin. She was currently working with the Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) at Far West and MoPac, a position she held for the last three years. She enjoyed working with her co-workers and they in turn enjoyed her as well.
Roxana had many interest in life, she enjoyed drawing and painting. She liked music and dancing and was an excellent cook. Roxana once said "Dad is my inspiration", no father could be prouder to know he inspired his child as much.
Roxana is survived by her parents, Abe and Cristina Arredondo; maternal grandmother, Maria Cristina Jimenez Vde Zermeño; paternal grandmother, Maria de Jesus Villarreal Villareal; and aunt, Aracely Arredondo de Ortega.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Road from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., followed by a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, located at 4800 Convict Hill Road with Father Patrick Coakley, Celebrant. Roxana will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
