Roy W. Bozeman, 84, died Monday May 21, 2012 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday May 24, 2012 in the Raymond Cemetery. Visitation will be between the hours of 5 and 7 PM Wednesday at Wright and Ferguson in Raymond and 9 - 11 AM Thursday.
Born to James Roy and Nellie Bozeman in Philadelphia, PA, Roy was raised in Poplar Bluff, MO and moved to Mississippi at the age of 15. He attended Hinds Community College where he met and married Dorothy Ann Harris and raised three sons. He worked for Magna America Corp. for 18 years and then for the State of Mississippi Parks and Recreation until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and in Korea. He really enjoyed his family, Grandchildren and one Great-Granddaughter and raising Blueberries. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Bozeman.
Survivors include his sons Russell Bozeman, Sr. (Cheryl) of Raymond, Tim Bozeman (Brenda) of Raymond and Mark Bozeman (Patti) of Raymond; Grandchildren Russell Bozeman, Jr. (Chaffin) of Raymond and Matthew Bozeman of Biloxi; Great Granddaughter Elizabeth Bozeman of Raymond.
