Roy Martin Cooley, 89, of Payette, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at an assisted living center in Ontario. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday January 5, 2013 at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette. Chaplain Barry Surratt will officiate. Condolences may be made to www.shaffer-jensen chapel.com. Roy was born on November 28, 1923 in Defiance, Ohio to Lincoln Norris and Alda J. (Davis) Cooley.
He served in the US Army at the end of WWII receiving an Honorable Discharge in1947.
He married Zada Pauline Walters in 1950.
Roy worked for Home Dairies in Ontario for 26 years. He then went to work for Clover Club Foods until he retired.
He is survived by his two daughters, Joan & Rodney Masingill of Spokane, WA; Joy & Kenneth Stauffer of Thorton, CO; Brother, Homer & Lee Cooley of Orville, CA; Sister, Marie Doons of Nampa, ID; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Zada, his parents, a sister and four brothers.
