Mr. Roy Thomas Scott, age 84, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Sunday December 30, 2012. Funeral services will be held Thursday January 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm at The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville, GA., with Dr .Joe E. Edwards and Dr. Jacob King officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandy Plains Baptist Church cemetery in Marietta, GA.
Mr. Scott was a native of New Town, GA. He was a US Air Force veteran and was retired from General Motors.

Son, Roy Lamar and wife (Evelyn) Scott, Mississippi
Daughters, Deloris and preceded in death by her husband (Carlton) Owens, Brandon, FL.
Rita and husband (Steve) Hardin, Acworth, GA.
Doris Dailey, Kennesaw, GA.
Sister , Bessie Burgess, McDonough, GA.
Grandchildren, Valerie Marks, Jonathan Owens, Chris Scott and Nathan Scott
Great Grandchildren, Tucker Hardin, Shelbie Hardin and Dylan Mollett
Mr. Scott will be placed-in-state at 12-1 pm at The Church at Liberty Square onThursday January 3, 2013. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA. (770) 422-7299.
