Charlotte Askins, 87 passed away on Saturday, July 28 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.
Charlotte was born in Kenosha, WI. Coming from Glenview, IL, she has been a resident of Fort Pierce and Vero Beach for the past 55 years.
During most of her years, Charlotte was a homemaker and she also worked outside the home in various businesses, including the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Vero Beach, and had been a 49 year member of Bible Baptist Church of Fort Pierce where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Charlotte had been involved in the ladies clubs of both churches.
Her survivors include her daughters, Barbara Norman of Vero Beach, Sheryl Gladin of Virginia Beach, VA, son, Daniel Askins of Bolingbrook, IL and three grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Luther.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30, August 2nd at Bible Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. A private interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
