Ruby Venable Bunch, 74 of Westlake passed away on December 26, 2012, at a local hospital.
She was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake. She retired as a cafeteria manager from the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She enjoyed flowers and working in her yard.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Stirley Bunch, her son; Michael Bunch and her grandson; Blake Daniel.
She is survived by her daughters; Sharon Thompson and husband Martin of Lake Charles, Theresa Hale and husband Donald of Butte LaRose, La., and Mary Daniel and husband Larry of Denham Springs, La. Two sisters; Ina Johnson of Westlake and Winnie Kingrey and husband Wilson of Iowa, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a friend Clent Carruthers of Westlake.
Her services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:30 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Westlake. Deacon Garrett Caraway will officiate. Burial will be at Westlake Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am till time of service. The rosary will be at 2:00 pm. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
