Rudolph J. Roszkiewicz, age 90, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jeannette (Sanspitier) Roszkiewicz.
Born in New Bedford the son of the late Joseph and Victoria Roszkiewicz he was a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Roszkiewicz was employed as a Machinist for the former Revere Copper and Brass from 1938 until his retirement in 1981. He enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing and was an avid New England sports fan.
He is survived by two sons Gary W. Roszkiewicz and his wife Melissa of Ware, MA and Ronald R. Roszkiewicz of CA; brother, Richard Roszkiewicz of Marion; two grandchildren Adam and Alex Roszkiewicz and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Genevieve Polar, Josephine, Nancy, Leonard and Henry Roszkiewicz.
His funeral will be held on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 10am in the Brooklawn-Chausse Dumont Funeral Home, 15 Irvington Ct., New Bedford. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Head Injury Association 65 Austin Blvd., Commack, NY 11725.
