Ruth I. Andersen died on February 4, 2011 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 85. Ruth was born on November 27, 1925 in Wellfleet, Nebraska to Henry and Sophia (Linnemier) Lehr.
Ruth married Wayne Andersen on April 3, 1948 in Vancouver, Washington. She lived in Portland for most of her life. He had resided in the same home in Portland for the last 54 years. Ruth belonged to the Lutheran Faith. She enjoyed stamp collecting.
Survivors include her husband Wayne, of Portland., OR., son Dany D. Andersen, of Canby, OR., daughter, Diana L. Denner, of Portland, OR, two brothers, Charles Lehr, of Newberg, OR., and Gilbert Lehr of Phoenix, Arizona, three sisters, Waunita Wellever of Oregon City, OR., Dorothy Jackson, of Boring, OR., and Gloria Steller, of Redding, CA., five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her brother Emery Lehr and her sister Mildred Laws.
Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
