Mrs. Ruth (Lapides) Broder, of Newton, formerly of Brookline entered into rest May 24, 2012 at home. She was the beloved wife of Arthur J. Broder, D.M.D..
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Rachel Bella (Lewiton) Lapides. She was a graduate of Boston University School of Nursing and worked for many years as a Registered Nurse for both the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Brookline Public School Department.
Mrs. Broder was the devoted mother of Susan B. Burke of Centerville, MA; Rosalie B. Roush & her husband William of Florida; and Marjorie E. Sullivan & her husband Robert of Acton, MA. Loving sister of Miriam Cole & her husband Herbert of Newton. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca & her husband Keith, Jacob, Robert, Joseph and Jackson.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday May 29, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon Street, Brookline, Massachusetts. Interment to follow at Lindwood Memorial Park in Randolph, MA.
Memorial Observance will be held at her late residence on Tuesday May 29, 2012 from 2:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
