ANDERSON, SANDRA (Kanopkin), a resident of East Greenwich, died Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was the beloved wife of Thomas R. Anderson. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Louis Kanopkin and the late Ida (Kaplan) Kanopkin.
Sandra grew up in Pawtucket and was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. She was a teacher at the Sackett Street Elementary School in Providence for 32 years.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter Rebecca Dorothy Anderson; and her brother Philip Kanopkin and his wife Susan.
Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 18th at 10am in the Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope Street, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, RI 02915.
