Sally Ann Gulick. Faithful daughter and retired stock broker, November 24, 1936 to November 15, 2012. Sally Ann-better known to her family as "Arin", passed away peacefully at her home November 15, 2012, just a few days before her 66th birthday after a two year battle with cancer. She was born in Akron, Ohio to Captain and Mrs. Robert A. Gulick Jr. Because her father, now deceased, was a full time Naval aviator, Arin attended many schools across the nation, notably Abington Friends School and Buckingham Friends School in Pennsylvania. She graduated from Glendora High School, then moved with her family to the Palisades. She graduated from UCLA in 1968. She partnered with her father as a stock broker at what is now Morgan Stanley, retiring in 2005. Arin will be missed and is survived by her mother, Helen I. Gulick (known as "Sally"); brother Robert A. Gulick III (wife Bunnie) who live in Telluride, Colorado, and sister Susan M. Curry (spouse Gail Daniels) who live in Amber, Pennsylvania. She also leaves a niece Dana (husband David Skudneski and daughter Grace) and nephew Ryan Gulick (wife Kate) and their daughters Maclaren and Everett, who live in Denver. She was especially grateful this past year for the thoughtful and excellent caregiving of Evelin Delara, Naomy Garcia and Vanessa Garcia. Arin's hobbies included screen writing, crewel work, and collecting pewter and sunflower art. She loved reading sci-fi and fantasy fiction, and had an affinity with the celtic culture, cats, horses and wolves. Her defining characteristics were being smart, helpful, careful, loyal, conscientious, protective, trustworthy, a good conversationalist, witty and stubborn. A Celebration of Life will be held at her home in Pacific Palisades from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 16th, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Wolf Haven International (3111 Offut Lake Road, Tenino, WA 98589) or Wolf Education and Research Center (P.O. Box 217, Winchester, ID 83555). Interment of her ashes will occur at a later date, and will be buried next to her father in the Gulick plot in Akron, Ohio.
