Sammie Crowell Lietch Argo, age 79, of Fayette, died Feb. 10, 2011, at Fayette Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ed King officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Laura Mae Crowell; brother, C.J. Wade; and husband, Clyde Argo.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Hood and Sue Ethridge; sons, Ronny Lietch and Phillip Lietch; sister, Laverne Lollar; brother, Wiley Crowell, Jr.; grandchildren, Angel Ethridge Shearer, John Hood, Jason Lietch, Heather Head, and Ryan Lietch; and five great-grandchildren.
She was born in Berry, Ala., and lived in Tuscaloosa. She was a member of Rosedale Baptist Church and was a beloved mother and grandmother.
Pallbearers will be John Hood, Jason Lietch, Ryan Lietch, Daniel Carroll, Daniel Head, and Danny Carroll.
Honorary pallbearers are the Fayette Medical Center ICU staff, friends, and neighbors.
