Samuel Dean Arnold, age 15, passed away at his home in Plano on March 24. Sam was born July 13, 1995 in Plano, Texas.
Sam had the special gift of friendship and brought joy to all who knew him. He enjoyed horseback riding, swimming, and attending camp with his friends. He loved school, riding the bus, sharing his smile and laughter with everyone.
Sam is survived by his mother Jennifer Arnold, brother Tim Arnold, sister Abby Arnold and her fiancé Ross Lanford. Also survived by maternal grandmother Martha Palmer and paternal grandparents Harold and Betty Arnold. Sam is preceded in death by his father Gary Arnold and his maternal grandfather James Palmer.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Ted Dickey West Funeral Home where the family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 26, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75093, Sunday, March 27, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Sam Arnold Foundation, 7500 Dallas Parkway, Suite 500, Plano, TX 75024.
