Graveside services for Sandra Gail "Sandy" Alvey, 61, of Lindale are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery with Carey Ponder officiating. Mrs. Alvey passed away on Jan. 16, 2013, at U.T. Health Center in Tyler.
She was born on Nov. 3, 1951, in Tyler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eulice Alvey Jr.; her father, Harold Vaught; and brother, Bruce Vaught.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Parker, Cody and wife Mandy Alvey; daughter, Jenifer Berry; mother, Susan Geneva Melvin Vaught; and seven grandchildren.
Sandy enjoyed being an LVN at local nursing homes because she loved to care for the elderly.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
