Sara Nardone Anello, 90, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2011. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who were touched by her kindness, passion, wisdom, and generosity. She was born on September 24, 1920, in Fondi, Italy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph, her sister, Brunetta (Salvatore), and brothers, Michael, and Pio (Rose). Sara earned a Master's Degree from the University of Miami, and was a devoted school teacher, guidance counselor, and assistant principal, in Miami. She was a mentor for so many colleagues and students who trusted Sara's honesty and integrity. Sara had a great love of life and traveled the world. She and her husband retired in Port St. Lucie, where she was an active volunteer in many organizations. She was the President of the Port St. Lucie Chapter of the Italian American Club. In 2001, she moved to Boca Raton to be near her niece, Rosie Blinchikoff (Larry) and nephew, Tony Palermo (Vee), and their children. She was the treasured aunt to a host of nieces and nephews, sister-in-law of Elissa and Evelyn, and was loved by many cherished friends. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Kraeer Funeral Home, 1353 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton. A Visitation will take place on Monday, May 9 at Kraeer Funeral Home from 11 am to 12 pm. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for her on Monday, May 9, at St. Jude Catholic Church, at 1 PM.
