Sarah Folds Benefield, 86, of LaGrange died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Florence Hand Home.
Mrs. Benefield was born January 24, 1926 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Lee Folds and Inez Campbell Folds. She had lived in LaGrange all her life and was a member of Word of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Benefield was employed with Milliken Design Center before retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Benefield.
Survivors include three children, Elaine Prescott, Shirley Hill, and Dewell Benefield, all of LaGrange; seven grandchildren, Burt Benefield, Brandon Benefield, Tracy Storey, Walter Hill, Andrew Hill, Anna Shelnutt, and Shane Prescott; 16 great grandchildren; and one sister, Julia Lawhorne of LaGrange.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Bible Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
