Scotty Gene Baswell Jr., 11, died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Lebonhuer Children's Hospital. He was a member of the Tupelo Church of God and a student at Saltillo Elementary School. He enjoyed playing with his brother and sister, video games and going to the car races.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at McMillan Funeral Chapel with Bro. James Voyles officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Georgiana Owens of Guntown; His father, Scotty Baswell of Glen; one sister, Emily Baswell and one brother, William Page both of the home; his grandparents, Leon and Joyce McCalister of Glen and Larry and Mandy Bullock of Jacinto;his great grandmother, Helen Burns of Booneville and his great grandfather, Jim Ed McCalister of Corinth.
Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Monday, August 30 and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
He is preceded in death by grandfather, George Owens, great grandparents, Boyd and Vera Owens, Great grandfathers, Jimmy Burns and William Bullock, great grandmothers, Clara McCalister, Sybil Baswell and Jeanette Bullock.
