Shelby Jean Slaven, 76, of San Angelo left this world on Thursday, July 10, 2014 to join her mother, father, sister, and brother in law on the beautiful riverbanks of heaven.
Shelby was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She loved fishing and cooking and hosting parties for K-Mart where she worked for over 20 years. Shelby will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Joanne Schapley, and her favorite brother in law Tommy Alexander.
Shelby is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, LaRoy Slaven, of San Angelo; her daughter, Wanda Sue Yoes of San Angelo; her son, David N. Campbell and his wife Phyllis, of Port Angeles, Washington; her daughter, Debra Jean Richardson of San Angelo, and her daughter, Lyla Jean Slaven of San Antonio; her grandchildren: Brandon Lee Choate, Daysha Campbell, Brian Campbell, Sarah Richardson, Christopher Richardson; her great grandchildren, Jordan Isaiah Cadena, RaeDawn Richardson, and Sky Richardson; her sister, Mary Kay Alexander of Bossier City, LA; her special nephew, Jason Hayes, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Shelby's life will be held at 2:00pm., Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Forgiven Ministries in San Angelo with Rev. Willie Yell officiating.
