Shelden H. Sarnevitz of Sunapee, NH, formerly of Lexington, MA, died January 17, 2013, age 82.
Beloved husband of Dorothy (Bornstein) Sarnevitz. Devoted father of Alexi L. (Sandra) Sarnevitz of Needham, MA; Lyle E. Sarnevitz of NC; Lydia B. Sarnevitz of Kingston, PA and Lake Sunapee, NH; and the late Dana M. (Shari) Sarnevitz of Lynnfield, MA. Cherished grandfather of Rachel, Emily, Janelle, David, Andrew, Jacob, Ziva, and Aaron.
Shelden was a dedicated and excellent educator serving as a teacher for over 40 years. He retired from the Concord-Carlisle school district in 1994. Prior to his lengthy teaching career, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy in the Beach Jumpers Unit. He taught religious school for numerous years and was a life-long member of Temple Isaiah in Lexington, MA.
Funeral service at Temple Isaiah, 55 Lincoln Street, Lexington, MA on Sunday, January 20 at 11:00am. Interment at Adas Yisroeil Cemetery, 350 Grove Street, West Roxbury, MA. Memorial observance will be private.
