Shirley Mae Baggenstos, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on the Deep Creek in Chehalis on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
Shirley was born on May 22, 1928 in Chehalis to Alfred and Ione Scherer and had been a lifelong resident of Lewis County. She loved knitting, cooking, gardening, the beach and most of all spending time with her family. She also had a great devotion to God. Shirley was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, son, Ronald Deskins, grandson, Brandon Sturdevant and son-in-law, Ron Fisher. She is survived by her sons, Jim (Clareda) Deskins, Darryl (Teresa) Berg, daughter, Sharyll Fisher, brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Scherer and Douglas Scherer, as well as many step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Visitation for Shirley Baggenstos is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Brown Mortuary in Chehalis from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. A funeral service is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Adna Evangelical Church in Chehalis, with Pastor Steve Bergland officiating. A graveside service will follow at Claquato Cemetery. A reception will follow the services at the Adna Evangelical Church. Arrangements are under the care of Brown Mortuary Service in Chehalis, Wash.
