Shirley Williams Bess 91, passed away May 29, 2012 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, KY, in the presence of her family and a devoted staff. She was born in Louisville, she was a long time resident of Westport, KY.
She is survived by Walter E. Bess, loving husband of 69 years, daughter Deborah E. Goldberg, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Shirley was employed by old, Koster-Swope Buick, where she worked 30 years in their Finance Corp. and retired as Vice President of the General Leasing Corp. She served the senior citizens community of Westport for years and appreciated her neighbors on the river. Her sense of fun and unmatched humor will long be remembered.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with a service Friday , June 1, 2012, at 10:00 AM in the Last Supper Mausoleum Chapel of Resthaven Memorial Park.
