Stanley L Andreason
July 17, 1927 - March 8, 2012
Mr. Stanley L. Andreason, 84, of Port Angeles, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 due to natural causes.
Mr. Andreason was born to Amandus Hagen and Elvine Louise (Ellingsdotter) Andreassen on July 17, 1927, in Crosby, N.D.
Stanley married Eva Louise Dennis on May 19, 1951, in Portland, Ore. They were divorced in 1977.
Stanley served in the United States Navy from 1944 until 1948, and recieved his GED then continued his education at Tacoma Vocational College. He had a career as an operating engineer in both Port Angeles and Seattle.
Mr Andreason was involved in many organizations including the VFW, Naval Elks Lodge #353, American Legion, the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 302 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. he also loved Jazz music, dancing, sailing and clamming.
Stanley is survived by his companion Shirley Childers; his son Steven L. Andreason of Port Angeles; daughters and son-in-law Sandra "Sandi" L. Voigt of Bremerton, Washington, and Sue Dewees (Chuck) of Bremerton; sisters Eleanor Rowland of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Thelma Fowler of Albany, Ore. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Stanley will be buried at mount Angeles Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm at the Port Angeles Elks Lodge on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
