Stella Marie Armas was born in Los Angeles, Nov.1,1924. She was raised there with her family (1 sister, 2 brothers), graduated from high school, then married Richard Armas. (They were married for 55 years until he passed away in 2005). Soon after getting married they moved to Compton and opened Dicks Sporting Goods in Lynwood. After their 2 sons Ray and Paul were born, they moved to Cole St. in Downey, where she lived for 47 years. They then started 'Armas Plastering, Sandblast & Restucco'. She worked the office in that business and was also employed by Hughes Aircraft for a number of years. She was a parishoner at St. Raymonds. In recent years she enjoyed playing Bingo at St. John Bosco on Saturday evenings. She 'got her angels wings' on June 18, 2014. She is survived by her 2 sons Ray (Gaylen) and Paul (Barbara), 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Alicia, James, & 5 great grandchildren, Micheal, Alyssa, Evan, Brooke, Aidan.
