Stella M. Baker Gilbert, 92, of Normal, passed away at 3:51 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Bloomington.
She was born March 17, 1918 in Funks Grove, daughter of Charles and Effie Hyatt Baker. She married Charles Eugene Gilbert in 1937 in Willamsport , IN.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry (Roberta) Gilbert and Fred (Terri)Gilbert; one niece, Ruth Mangina; one nephew, Marvin Lester; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings.
Stella was a Past President of the Eagles Auxiliary and a member of First Christian Church in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at East Lawn Funeral Home in Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington.
