Stella Mae Morris Brady, 78, of Old Fort, NC passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at McDowell Hospital.
She was born April 5, 1933 in McDowell County, NC to the late Russell Morris and Nellie Moore Morris. Ms. Brady was very musical. She loved to sing, play instruments, and listen to country and gospel music.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her son, John Turner and wife, Jane of Old Fort; her daughter, Donna Ellis and husband, Gary of Gastonia; one sister, Shirley Dockery of Anderson, SC; one sister-in-law, Thelma Morris of Old Fort; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Kirksey Funeral Chapel in Old Fort. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Kirksey Funeral Chapel in Old Fort. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.
