Steven Jeffrey Baldwin, 62 of Labrador Drive, Union Grove, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born October 31, 1949, in Forsyth County and was the son of the late Percy Baldwin and Frances Clawson Baldwin. Prior to his disability retirement, Steven was a banker with Northwestern Bank in North Wilkesboro and later a contract mail carrier.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Rose, and a step-son Ethan O'Neal.
Steven is survived by his wife, Anita Hawthorne O'Neal Baldwin, whom he married on June 22, 1996; a son, Michael Baldwin (Denise) of Ronda; a step-son, Seth O'Neal (Fran) of Concord; a brother, Thomas Baldwin of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Chelsey Baldwin, Wesley Baldwin, Lindsey Baldwin, and Makylie Baldwin; and two nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services celebrating Steven's life will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Union Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 pm Sunday at the church prior to the service.
