Sue Baldwin Dyson Allen, 68, of Virginia Beach, Virginia died June 5, 2011, at home surrounded by family and friends.
She was born August 6, 1942, in Columbus County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Baldwin. She was the only child of her beloved parents.
She was employed by Thompson Smith Newman and Wade Law Firm in Richmond, Virginia as a paralegal for forty-four years, retiring in June 2010 to move to Virginia Beach to be near her son, Joseph Dyson and his wife, Alisa Dyson.
She is survived by her son, and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Alisa Dyson of Knotts Island, North Carolina.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park. A celebration of life luncheon reception will take place immediately following the graveside service at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens Robins Room and Terrace, 1800 Lakeside Avenue, Richmond, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to American Cancer Society, Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens or Virginia Audubon Society.
