Susan E. Allidi, 60 of Liverpool, passed away peacefully Sunday at Crouse Hospital with her family by her side after a four year battle with breast cancer. She was born in Niagara Falls and has lived in Liverpool since 1973. Mrs. Allidi retired from the Liverpool Central School District where she worked for 30 years as a middle school English teacher. Because of her excellence in teaching she was the recipient of several awards, many of which were initiated by her own students. For many years Susan prepared Chestnut Hill Middle's spelling bee contestants, one of whom was a national semi- finalist.
She is predeceased by her father, John Fyfe.
Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Paul; daughters, Gretchen of Orlando, FL and Gabrielle of NYC; her mother, Phyllis Fyfe of Lewiston; sister, Bonnie Fyfe of Lewiston; brother, Daniel Fyfe of Lewiston; and her faithful companions, Tanner and Sharon.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 9:00 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park St. Contributions may be made to the Humane Association of CNY,4915 ½ West Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
