Ballen, Svetlana Helene (née Maksimovic)
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, Oma and friend Svetlana Helene Ballen, on Thursday October 4, 2012 at the age of 75. Devoted wife of Stanley for 48 years, cherished and loving mother of Rebecca (Frederick) and Dr. Natasha (Jonathan), proud and loved Oma of Isaac Hindle, and a friend dear to the hearts of many. Svetlana was retired from Wilfrid Laurier University after 17 years of service. Friends are invited to share memories of Svetlana with her family during visitation at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton St., Kitchener on Tuesday October 9th, 2012 from 7:00 - 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church, 96 Dunbar Rd. S, Waterloo, on Wednesday October 10th at 3:00pm. A reception will be held following the service.
