Tencie Marie Bear was born on January 6th, 1923 near the Barber Community, the daughter of Mose and Martha (Bolyn) Glory. She attended school then set out to marry George Bear Sr. Together, they raised a family of four daughters and one son and enjoyed a happy marriage until George's passing in 1996. Tencie had a full time job of keeping up with George and the children. There was always quilts and sewing to be done, housework, and her favorite place to be, the kitchen. Tencie made many a meal for her family and friends alike. She raised beautiful gardens and planted flowers to decorate her yard. When time permitted, she enjoyed watching old Westerns on T.V., attending yardsales, or visiting with her friends at the casino. The best part of her life was her husband, children, and grandchildren. They were the most wonderful part of her day. A Christian by faith, Tencie attended and was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. The Lord called Tencie home from her labors on April 15, 2011 in Tulsa, OK with her family at her side. She was eighty-eight years old.
