Thelma Frances Alldred, 76, died Sunday, October 2, 2011.
She had worked as a medical secretary for 13 years with Barrow Pediatrics, Winder, and Rowan Memorial Hospital in Rowan County, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Klotz Townsend.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Alldred; sons, Richard Alldred, Jr., South Hampton, Pa., Daniel (Robin) Alldred and Stephen Alldred, Germantown, Ohio; daughters, Lynn Phy, Salisbury, N.C. and Rita (Christopher) Bentley, Jefferson; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Mary) Townsend, Roslyn, Pa.; sisters, Roberta Russell, Elkview, W. Va., Kathy Frankinfield, Philly, Pa., and Donna Niemerovich, Reading, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, October 7 at Smith Funeral Home.
A memorial service wil be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father Leo Halloran officiating.
