It is with great sorrow that we, the loving family of Theresa (Terri) Rita Bernice Anning (nee Caul), announce her passing on Sept 22nd, 2011 in Abbotsford, BC.
Terri was born on April 17th, 1931 in Belleville, ON and celebrated her very special 80th birthday this year with family and friends.
In 1948, Mom married her devoted husband of 47 years, John Ernest Anning. John and Terri travelled extensively across Canada and abroad while raising their family of five.
In 1972, John and Terri moved to the community of Mt. Lehman and quickly settled into their new life.
Mom filled her life with pleasures great and small but always found the time to write the many birthday cards and for being there on those special occasions.
Mom always enjoyed her reading and gardening and also became an avid world traveller and theatre goer in her later life; always willing to go on a new adventure. Mom was actively involved with the ANAVETS unit #315 Matsqui for over 35 years, and served as 1st Vice and President for a number of years.
Mom's constant and loyal companion of 16 years, her dog Carey, will miss her dearly.
Mom was predeceased by 4 siblings, husband John (1995) three grandchildren: Matthew, Mary, and Tony.
Mom will be remembered by her loving family of five children: Bonnie (David) Morrison, Bernice (Andy) Gagnon, John (Shirley), Pete; Paul (Sandi); nine grandchildren: Bonnie (Brent), Michelle (Jason), Jenny (Chris), Nic, Olivia, Heather, Colin, Steve, Katie; and great-grandchildren: Mikayla, Carter, and Sara.
The Family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Brown and the wonderful nursing staff of the Abbotsford Tertiary Hospice Palliative Care Unit with a special thank-you to Paul Higgins for his caring and support.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to FVHC Foundation in support of tertiary Palliative Care at ARH.
