Theresa Francis Larkin Latimer of Hopewell Junction, NY, formerly of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, on December 6th passed over into a new beginning at the age of 82.
Born on January 21, 1930 to John and Ann Larkin in Manhattan. She attended Sacred Heart H.S. in the Bronx and graduated from Cathedral H.S. in 1948. Theresa was a hard working soul who started working at the age of 14 to help support her family. She worked at Arnold Constable Store, Young and Rubicam and retired after 24 years from the Hendry Corporation as an Executive Secretary.
On June 29, 1957 she Married Arthur Latimer at Sacred Heart Rectory and enjoyed 46 years of love and companionship. Theresa and Arthur built their dream home in Croton-on-Hudson where they watched their three children; Theresa, Luke and Lisa grow and start lives of their own. Theresa was a Loving grandmother to her grandchildren; Dana, Mark and Jesse Margiotta, Ashley and Sarah Latimer, Nikki and Emma Michaels as well as her many nephews and nieces. She always had a smile and laugh ready for them. Theresa loved to watch the old movies and discuss the actors and actresses she enjoyed most.
Theresa is now with her husband Arthur and sister Helen McCarthy who predeceased her.
She leaves behind her beloved sister, Shelia Larkin, children; Theresa and husband Alfred Sheehan of Hopewell Junction, Luke Latimer of Croton-on-Hudson and Lisa and husband Matthew Michaels of Findlay, OH and all her grandchildren as well as her friends at the Croton-on-Hudson Senior Citizens, the East Fishkill Senior Citizens and special friend Joseph Duffy.
Theresa will always be remembered by her pleasant smile and cheery disposition. We Love you Mother, Grandmother and Friend, it is now your time for peace.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 10th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday the 11th at the funeral home.
