Theron James "Jim" Bostic, 77, of Greensburg passed away Sunday, June 19 at the Morning Breeze Nursing Home. Jim was born on September 9, 1933, in Ripley County, the son of Delta and Thelma Bostic.
Jim worked as a custodian at the Greensburg Community Schools for 28 years. Jim was also a past President of the Lions Club, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensburg, where he served as an usher.
He is survived by three brothers: Lester "Chick" (Mary) Bostic of Greensburg, Robert (Melissa) Bostic of Montgomery, Alabama, and Leland "Tom" (Linda) Bostic of Columbus; three nieces, four nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, nephew: Daryl Bostic and sister-in-law Joanie Bostic.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 4PM – 8PM on Wednesday, June 22 and funeral service on Thursday, June 23 at 1:30PM all at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Greensburg or the Joanie Bostic Memorial Fund through the Decatur County Community Foundation.
