It comes with great sadness to our family at the sudden passing of Thomas Patrick Aeppli, age 82 of Cary, NC on Saturday, November 12, 2011.
Originally born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Bellerose until 1996. Tom moved to Cary, NC after the death of his first wife Evelyn. He was an active member of Greenwood Forest Baptist Church and the Cary XYZ Club. Tom was a retired New York Police Officer and a Korean War Veteran. He will be remembered best for wonderful stories of family, Brooklyn and baseball as well as his telling of jokes.
Tom is survived by his wife Emma, daughters & son in laws, Lori Ann & Michael Vita, Karen-Marie & Anthony Bathurst and his beloved grandchildren Matthew & Allison Vita & Taylor Bathurst; also survived by his sister Catherine Clark of Virginia. He will also be missed by his stepchildren Michael Craig & wife Jeannie, Deborah Stewart, Sean Stewart & Ben Craig. Tom will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Horton Cemetery in Zebulon, NC.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
