Thomas Edmund Boomhower of Cary, 67, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2013 after a brief illness. Tom was born in Troy, NY to Edmund and El Freda Boomhower.
He served 20 years in the US Army where he achieved Chief Warrant Officer 3 status, during his military career he toured in Korea and Germany. He is a war veteran of the Desert Storm war, where he was awarded the bronze star for his bravery and achievement during a battle he was in.
Tom was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather.
Tom is lovingly remembered by his children, Jeremy Boomhower and wife, Kim of Mebane; Jenna Dunderman and husband, Dave of Garner; Elisa Sevier and husband, Noah of Cary; Jason Boomhower of Charlotte; his brother Tim Boomhower and wife, Melody, of Efland; brother-in-law Allen Robertson, of Richmond, VA; nephew Scott Osment and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Briana, Jackson, Kylee, Zoe, Xander and Mazarine. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary W. Boomhower; parents Edmund and El Freda Boomhower; sister Jeanne Boomhower. He is also survived by his good friend, James Conkell.
