My condolences to the family. I was a shareholder of TROX. A huge fan of Tom's and I never had the opportunity to meet with him. I communicated with him several times over the past several years by email-he always responded in a very humble and modest way. Most recently I congratulated him on his brilliant move with saving the company from the depths of despair, turning around the business with the acquisition of the Alkali business, and then putting together this most complex acquisition/merger making TROX one of the largest TIO2 companies in the world. He responded in typical fashion -that he could never have done it without the support of all the fine people surrounding him. Modest, humble, and caring. It was always a pleasure reaching out to him and to hear his modest unassuming responses. He really was quite an inspiration and quite an impressive leader. I will never forget him and I wish all of you my heartfelt condolences at this time. He definitely left his mark and made this world better. Stuart Berson-Livingston, NJ

Dear Chris:
Such a shock. So very very sorry to read of Tom's passing. I will always remember fondly the fun times we shared as roommates for four years at BC (remember me and the VW beetle) and running into Tom and your daughter a few years back at the Kennedy library in Boston. Please know that from my family to yours our prayers are with you. Ron Brown.

I had the honor and joy of working with Tom many years ago. What a gentleman and a "gentle man" - incredible leader, visionary, and change maker. My heart is breaking for his family and friends, but knowing what a strong light he was in life, I am certain his light will live on through all the people he touched.

D'Arcy and I send our condolences to Chris and the family. Tom was a mentor and role model to me early in my career at Mintz Levin, and was always generous with his time and advice after. Tom had a unique ability to do serious work with a great sense of humor and without taking himself too seriously. He will be greatly missed.

Tom was a great friend and neighbor at the Bellaria. He would brighten my day with his witty humor. He struggled with cancer too long and I'm glad he doesn't have to suffer anymore. He was a great human being and my heart goes out to people who were close to him.

To the Casey Family, I was a young paralegal, law clerk and associate who worked with Tom at Mintz, Levin. Tom was a serious, whip-smart lawyer and mentor and an incredibly fun person to work with. He was a great storyteller and brightened the law office with laughter, which made us all feel lucky to work with him. I am grateful to have begun my career in his company. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy for your loss and may his memory be a blessing.
