Tom "Shorty" Auterson, 62, of Van Buren, AR died Saturday, August 28, 2010 in Fayetteville, AR. He was born November 22, 1947 in Orange, California. He was a retired truck driver, doing long haul driving and construction, a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army in the 31st Infantry in the Veitnam Conflict..
He is survived by one daughter, Charlot Weinsinger of Van Buien, AR; one son, J.J. Auterson of Fort Smith, AR; mother, Alice Auterson of Clarksville, AR, AR; one sister, Nonnie Butler of Missouri; two brothers, Bruce Auterson of Hartman, AR; Merlin Auterson of Clarksville, AR; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the home of Merlin and Julie Auterson in Clarksville, AR.
