Velda R. Alexander - age 77, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011. Born in Nashville, Tennessee Saturday March 19, 1934, she was a supervisor for Bell South Telehphone, and a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tom B. Alexander; parents, George Washington and Mildred Youree Rucker; and brother, John R. Rucker.
She is survived by her son, Kevin T. (Emily) Alexander of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Dianne Osborn; grandchildren Bailey and Callie Alexander; sister-in-law, Margie Rucker; cousin Peggy B. (Hoyte) Snow; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:30 Monday June 6, 2011 in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
