Vera Inez Cross Morgan, 88, passed away July 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 13, 2012 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Fuller will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Pinehurst, GA to the late Henry Jackson Cross and Lydia Broadway Cross. She was the widow of Benjamin J. Morgan, Sr. She was retired from Woolworth's and was a loving wife mother, grandmother , great grandmother and homemaker. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her three sons, Thomas Robert Morgan of Gray, Jackson Wayne Morgan (Ruthie) of Macon and Myron Randall Morgan of Macon; one daughter, Elizabeth Gail Smith (Albert) of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Lisa Gail Morgan, Laurie Dale Morgan, Michael David Morgan, and Robert Preston Shepherd, Jr.; great grandchild, David Benjamin Morgan; sister, Magdalene Brown.
