Vern L. Vajen, "Barney" 75 of Napoleon, passed away on February 22, 2013 at Henry County Hospital. Husband of the late Mary Ann ( Mathers) Vajen.

Vern is survived by siblings; Gene Vajen, Sue (Gary) Nye John (Sheila) Vajen, sister in law Audrey Vajen, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Molly.

Preceded in death by his parents John H. Vajen and Hulda (Riefers) Vajen, brother Marvin Vajen and sisters Lou Ann Reese and Mary Lee Pfaff.

Vern worked for C.F. Gerken Construction Company and Wren Reese Construction Company as a masonry finisher.

Vern was a OSU Buckeye fan, a Cleveland Browns fan and he loved model trains and cars, playing cards and country western music.

Visitation for Vern will be Monday February 25 at 10:00 a.m. with an 11:00 funeral service to follow at Snyder-Wesche Funeral Home Napoleon Ohio. Pastor Charles Kramer Officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Henry County, Henry County Humane Society or United Way of Henry County.

Dear Vajen Family,
We are saddened to hear of Vern's passing. He was a hard worker and good person. We always enjoyed encountering he a Susie as they walking their dogs along the river!
