Vida H. Armstrong, 94, passed away Jan 9 at Claremont East in Bremerton, WA.
She was born Jun 24, 1918 in Cavalier, ND, to Eve and Herbert Heller. Her father passed away when Vida was 2, and when she was 12 her mother married Ernest Hebert and Vida was joined by a sister and 2 brothers.
On Dec 7, 1936 she married Robert Armstrong. In 1941 they came to Bremerton and in March 1942, Vida went to work at PSNS, working her way up to Supervisory Personnel Assistant of the Electrical/Electronic Group. She received and Outstanding rating, one of the highest honors earned by an employee at PSNS. She was also Employee of the Year in 1963. After 30 years, Vida retired in Jun 1972.
Rob and Vida spent time traveling in their camper, small plane & boat. They spent 17 winters in Mesa, AZ.
Vida was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and her husband in 1993. She is survived by her sister, Lillian Holweger; brother, Ralph Hebert; and several nieces & nephews.

Graveside service will be at 2 pm on Fri, Jan 18 at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park. Service celebrated by Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
