Vincent J. Attili

Vincent J. Attili of Yonkers died on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at age 99. Born on March 5, 1912 to Louis and Margaret (Apicella) Attili in Yonkers where he was raised and attended local schools. Mr. Attili worked as a salesman for a fruit and vegetable store on South Broadway and also for George's Sport Store in Getty Square. He was a Parishioner of Christ the King Church and a World War II Army Veteran having been stationed in both France and Germany. He is survived by his sister Emilia Attili and his brother Michael Attili both of Yonkers and a nephew Michael, Jr. He was predeceased by three brothers; Dominick, Patsy and Fortunato (Dan) and his two sisters Mary Weise and Carmella Attili. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Christ the King Church on Wednesday, November 30th at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
