VINCENT C. SCHUMACHER, 87, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Ashton Creek Assisted Living & Rehabilitation, Fort Wayne. Born June 26, 1925, in Pandora, Ohio, he was the son of William H. Schumacher and Mary Malinda (Neuenschwander). He served in the U.S. Army; received an Engineering Degree from Virginia Tech; and was a member of First Missionary Church. Surviving are his wife, Lucille F. (Ewing) Schumacher of Fort Wayne; sons, Tom (Gwen) of Plymouth, Ind., John (Susie) of Fort Wayne, Joel (Lynn) of Plymouth, Ind., and Steve of Fort Wayne; daughter, Deb (Nick) Tremblin of Swindon, England; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe, with visitation from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Burial in Marion National Cemetery.
