Virginia "Ginny" Altes 88 of Louisville, passed away Monday. Ginny would have celebrated her 89th birthday this week. Ginny was an outstanding bowler and participated in numerous leagues at Thelma Bowl in Shively. Her other hobbies included sewing and fishing at her lake home. She was a member of St. James Church and the WIBC International Bowling Conference.
She is survived by her Husband, Fred Altes; Sister, Margaret Smith, and Nephews and Nieces. Gerald and Robert Roadcap, Rusty Bauer, Richard Bean, Vicki Salyers, Dudley Young, Sharon Jones, Candace Green, and Teresa Hyatt.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 10:00am Saturday at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or her church.
